Twelve humans and their animal companions attended. Designed to prepare teams of a human and a canine for visits to nursing homes, hospitals, and other facilities as a certified therapy dog team, the workshop educates participants and exposes their canines to medical equipment including wheelchairs and walkers and to the process of visiting in a therapeutic setting. Therapy dog teams who pass the evaluation and test next Saturday will become members of Dog B.O.N.E.S. Therapy Dogs of Massachusetts and may begin volunteer visits. Annual membership dues are $25.00. Because of the high level of interest in the program, Dog B.O.N.E.S. is considering holding another workshop and certification at Calvary in the fall. Please watch this site for more information. You can also join Calvary’s Perfect Paws Ministry group, online on Facebook. Requirements for enrollment in the Workshop: 1.Dogs must be at least 4 months old and have good basic obedience skills.
