The Perfect Paws Pet Ministry at Calvary Episcopal Church, Danvers, has launched a new initiative that invites EVERYONE to be a part of a local, Internet-based volunteer network that gets the word out about companion animals that need to find permanent, loving homes. Millions of adoptable dogs and cats and other companion animals are needlessly euthanized each year. Local shelters are often overwhelmed by the number of animals needing placement. Each potential adoptee has his or her own story. Animals are given up because they fall victim to family tragedy, unlucky circumstances, or irresponsible owners who don’t want them any longer, or have neglected and even abused their pets. These resilient, adoptable dogs and cats, and other loving creatures, could be a perfect new friend, companion, and family member for you or someone you know on your email list. All that’s required is that you add your email address to our list and be willing to receive and forward notices of foster or adoption opportunities to those you know ... and ask them to pass it on to their friends and families as well.
