The Calvary Youth Group

Our goal at Calvary is to serve our middle-schoolers and teens with an enriching church-based youth program where youngsters can feel welcome and valued.

For youngsters at Calvary, the youth group is a safe place where they can be themselves and where differences are embraced and affirmed.

youth_group07_smIt is a place that puts faith into action, giving youngsters the opportunity to share ideas and dreams and by undertaking service projects that put the teachings of Jesus Christ into tangible form, encouraging them to reach out into the community, to make a difference.

The Calvary Youth program is about nurturing optimism and idealism and hope and building a bond that can last a lifetime.

It’s also a place for young people to have fun and to play, to learn and be social and to burn off steam. It’s a trip or outing with church friends and being open to shared activities like a retreat, or to continuing to come to church on Sunday.

It’s a safe place to talk and explore ideas and feelings. Our Youth program gives kids permission to discuss the issues that they care about, to air their concerns and fears together, in a safe and loving environment.

And finally, Calvary’s Youth Group provides a pathway toward making young people feel their worth as valuable members of the church family. At Calvary, they understand that extended family -- with rich intergenerational connections -- really means something. It’s about learning from each other, and from their church family, what the right thing
to do is, and when.
