Becoming a member at Calvary Episcopal Church is as easy as 1-2-3!
1. First, join us for regular Worship on Sundays at 8 a.m. or 10 a.m. Both our Sunday services offer the Holy Eucharist and Sermon, and all are welcome at the altar rail to receive communion or, if preferred, a blessing. The 8 a.m. service is a quieter, more contemplative service while the 10 a.m. service is our family service, with music from our choir.
2. Then, let us know you are here! Allow us to welcome you! Visit our Welcome Table in the Narthex on Sunday morning and add your name to our guest book. Read our Welcome Visitor handout (in pdf format). Download “About Our Church,” a brochure about Calvary and the Episcopal Church of the United States. Fill out the Pew Card with your name and contact information.
A letter of welcome will be sent to you and our parish administrator will contact you by phone or email to answer any questions you might have about our warm and welcoming worshipping community. Additionally, you will receive our monthly newsletter so you can stay informed about our 26 ministries and all the events that happen under our steepled roof. We hope you’ll be inspired to explore some of the many ways in which we celebrate our lives and our faith as members of the Calvary community.
Our children are invited to attend the Calvary Kids Sunday School, a learn and play opportunity to learn the scriptures that their parents are hearing in the sanctuary. Of course, our children are also welcome to attend the services with their parents.
Middle schoolers and teenagers are welcome to participate in Calvary’s Youth Group, overseen by a parents’ advisory group, where our young people enjoy fellowship, team building and fun, even as they build their leadership skills and enhance their personal and spiritual growth.
3. Come to our Coffee Hours, immediately following the 10 a.m. service. Here, in addition to coffee and other goodies lovingly prepared and offered by our members, you will get to meet and greet parishioners and enjoy fellowship.
We also offer classes that serve as preparation for Confirmation or Baptism, or for parents seeking Baptism for children. (Baptism is the full initiation into the Christian community; Confirmation is adult reaffirmation of faith, in affiliation with the Episcopal Church.)
Please know that all are welcome to Calvary. We hope you visit with us and find spiritual enrichment with in our midst.
For more information, please call (978-774-1150) or e-mail the Church office. Thank you ... and welcome!
